Holistic Birth & Postpartum Doula
I am so honored to hold sacred space and provide loving emotional, physical, and spiritual support to birthing & postpartum mothers. There is nothing more humbling than to witness the transformative process that each and every birth embodies. I deeply know that mothers need attention, care, and nourishment much the same as their newborn baby.
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new." -Rajneesh

Postpartum Doula Support
I provide postpartum support to mothers & families who have birthed in all settings - hospital, birth center, or home. My priority is to nurture and support the new mother so she may focus on relaxing, healing, and loving on her new babe. Postpartum doula support will look different for each family, but can include the following services
care for baby when mom or dad want to shower, nap, spend time with older sibling(s)
My rate for postpartum support is $25/hour.
"Mia has been my close friend since middle school. She has always had the ability to flow and adjust willingly. She deeply cares about the health and wellness of mother and baby. Even though we had been close prior to my pregnancy, the birthing process was a new, vulnerable experience for me. Yet, I felt completely comfortable in her care. Mother and baby are Mia's priority & expertise. I birthed at a birth center and for much of my labor it was only Mia and my husband in the room. In that state, I wished for my husband to offer silent, physical support and for Mia to nurture me with words, direction, suggestion, and additional physical support. She was totally prepared for my needs (that I didn't even consider beforehand). She had a hard candy for my dry mouth, counteracted my back labor with pressure, and encouraged me through the tears. She stayed bedside during Rex's first few hours and checked in (with pizza!) when we returned home in the evening. She also encapsulated our placenta which I took for mood & hormone stabilization postpartum. I recommend a doula for every mother. I recommend Mia for mothers who wish for peace of mind & that their birthing intentions are firmly communicated and upheld during the birthing process. I am so grateful to have had Mia's guidance & calming presence during my first birth and highly recommend her services."
